Camille with Steampunk Necklace

Wow, this is an exciting day for us. After several requests from our readers, we have decided to make and sell our new Steampunk Necklace. I’m very excited about it. I make the necklaces myself using small copper gears, bronze hobnails, and other parts from our shop.  This is the first item we’ve sold on our website.

The gears, cogs, and machine screw are made out of copper, bronze, and brass. The chain is made out of awesome etched bronze. The main hobnail is bronze plated pewter. Depending on how much you tighten the machine screw, the little gears and cogs in the middle actually turn, which I think is pretty cool. You can also take the whole thing apart and put it back together again if you want to give it to someone special as a kit (we are robot makers after all!). The necklace ships fully-assembled with a brass center machine screw, but we also provide a steel hex screw (as shown in the pics) just in case you like that better. The necklace is super cool and it goes with every outfit. Whenever I wear it, everyone compliments me on it. We’ve provided a bunch of pics below.

Our standard chain length 16″, but we can provide whatever chain length you need. Just put it in the Special Instructions. If you want to discuss other customizations, feel free to contact us.

We are selling the Steampunk Necklace for $34  (plus $4.95 for Priority Shipping).

Any limit on the quantity you’re making or time period it’ll be offered for? Should I order before it’s too late?

Thank you for asking. We have parts and materials in stock to make 5 immediately. We can get parts and materials for another 5 pretty quickly. After that there will be a restocking delay. We have one order so far.

A few of my friends use Etsy.com for their products. Steampunk is in I hear. I’m still waiting for the securitybot kit.

This gift was for my wife and she picked it out. She is very happy with her icchoe and would recommend purchasing jewelry from this web site.

I just ordered two of the necklaces. One is for my 7 year old grand daughter and the other for my adult daughter. The chain size for the child is fine, but my daughter is a fairly large and heavy woman and a longer length- say 22″ might be a lot more appropriate. If the longer length could be supplied, I’d appreciate it.

Yay! Also, if you don’t mind, could you add a little length to the chain? Maybe 6 inches or so that it can be adjusted to fit the recipient?
